EVACUATION PRACTICE 

WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB our students did with listening and following directions during our mandatory evacuation drill! A special thank you to Peter Petrarca for helping our students safely cross the street so we could proceed from Wawaloam to the ball field. The whole procedure was completed in under 8 minutes!

From what I hear, everyone had a great time at Mystic Aquarium and Kettle Pond this week! 

We are looking forward to Field Day on Monday (Rain Date Tuesday)

and Del's Lemonade at Recess WHAT A GREAT DAY!!! 

We are also very proud of our Kindergarten friends and they will be putting on performances next week for their families! Great Job!!

GRADE 2 ZOO TRIP FUN!! 

We are wrapping up the 2016-17 School Year and there are lots of exciting things happening! 

A special thank you to Ellen Corbett who reached out for an idea and embraced a whole school project with wide open arms with Girl Scout Troop 713. 

Inspired by a social media link and the book Only One You by Linda Kranz, every student at Wawaloam School is invited to design their very own rock any way they would like. Classrooms have the special paint and brushes and students are asked to bring in a nice flat rock that they can paint which will be incorporated into a special design before the end of the school year. We are SO excited about this project!!! 

Next Friday, we are very excited that we will be welcoming the graduating class of 2017 to walk through Wawaloam School where all of our K-2 students will have the chance to cheer them on and be inspired by their great accomplishment! We can't wait!!!
