End of October News and Updates

Kindergarten students getting Coughspot Tattoos!

There are so many fun Halloween activities planned for next week!  You are invited to bring in a carved pumpkin for our PUMPKIN parade! We love to show our school spirit by putting as many pumpkins as possible in the grassy area in front of the school on 102!

On Tuesday, October 31, students are invited to bring a Halloween costume to school (in their backpack) so that we can have our own Halloween Costume Parade. We decided as a school that this would be a great memory for our students and we are so excited! We have designated a special time for this after lunch and will put on the costumes at that time.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY CANDY TO SCHOOL

*If they would rather wear Halloween themed shirts or accessories (headbands, necklaces) that is fine! We do ask that if your child will be bringing a costume that it is something that they can easily wear over their clothing and put on over clothes with minimal adult assistance. Also, please avoid costume accessories that can get lost and cause an upset later on for trick-or-treating if these items do not make it home. Absolutely no pretend weapons of any kind are allowed, thank you.

Kindergarten Grade Level Meeting

This week, Nurse Larkin visited with the entire Kindergarten and she talked to them about their "COUGHSPOT".

She reminded students that we all want to stay as healthy as possible and by washing our hands and coughing into our elbow (coughspot) we can all make a difference! We are so impressed with how Respectful, Responsible and Safe kindergarteners are during our weekly meetings!

First Grade was lucky to have a visit with Mrs. Scheff, our music teacher- she shared what it would be like if you joined chorus and pretty soon GRADE 1 will have the chance to sign up! Be on the lookout for more information soon.

Thank you to all of you who have sent in items for our EXPLORATION CENTER! We are so excited about getting this space ready for our students! We are still going to need lots of interesting items to keep our young scientists busy so if you want to clear out some treasures and send them in this direction, we would be happy to give them a new home!
