Yes, we do have mermaids at Wawaloam School!
(In case you were wondering.......)

Now that the beautiful weather is here- we do have a few reminders :)

SPRING TIME SAFETY IN SCHOOL
It is that time of year again of warm sunshine and gentle breezes.  With springtime comes the shedding of our winter layers and wearing of brightly colored light weight clothing.  We know that our young students quickly outgrow last year’s clothing. With the new season comes the need to update our children’s wardrobe.  Please consider that young children are very active especially at recess. Wearing secure fitting foot shoes (*not “flip flops” or open backed sandals) will prevent unnecessary injury when playing on the playground, when walking with many other students in the hallways, and when getting on and off the bus.  Please do not send children to school wearing dressy, heeled shoes as these are very slippery on the tiled floors and outside running at recess. We have recently seen students wearing “crocs” to school. These are acceptable if the back strap is in place behind the heel.
Our equipment in the playground becomes very hot in the warm weather.  For their safety, students should not wear short shorts, miniskirts, or tops that reveal the midriff or have spaghetti straps.  Hats and sunglasses may be worn outside at recess.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us prevent falls and injuries at school.
Mrs. Marino and Mrs. Larkin

Thank you, Davis Family for helping to beautify the front of our school!
We can't wait to see what grows!
