Wawaloam News and Updates

KINDERGARTEN HEDGEHOG VISIT

Finally, the day we have been waiting for happened this week! We have been talking about our visit with a real hedgehog for about a month! We were so lucky to have "Watson" the hedgehog make a very special trip to Wawaloam School to visit Kindergarten students!  Did any of your children
talk about seeing a hedgehog when they got home on Thursday?

A REMINDER THAT WAWALOAM ARTS NIGHT IS ON MONDAY, MAY 22
6:00-7:15 PM
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

We have been working very closely with the Exeter and West Greenwich Public Library to see how many children we can get to come to the library over the summer! We came up with some special surprises for you to earn and hope you will visit at LEAST 4 times this summer! The theme for Summer Reading is:

Be on the lookout in your child's END OF THE YEAR report card envelope for their bookmark. Of course, the libraries will have a few extras on hand in case.

Next week all of our students in Grade 1 and in Grade 2 will be visiting Metcalf School as part of the transition process. Students will have a chance to tour the building and will get a feel for their new school.

BUBBLE DAY!!

Did you hear the good news? The graduating class of 2017 will have a chance to walk through the halls of Wawaloam and Metcalf before they graduate wearing their graduation gowns! Thank you so much to Sue Chandler, Principal of our High School for making this inspirational moment a reality for the youngest students in the district!
