The Exeter-West Greenwich Regional School District is counting on the attendance of as many students as possible children each day. Below, you will find an interesting fact and a link that will provide more statistics and resources regarding school attendance. We recognize that from time to time children are sick and look forward to working together, hand in hand, to ensure the greatest attendance possible for each child.
  • Almost 10,000 public schools across the United States - or 11 percent of the total - have chronic absence rates that affect 30 percent or more of their students. A new report by Attendance Works and the Everyone Graduates Center provides a national and state analysis of how many schools face these high levels of chronic absence, and shares Portraits of initiatives that show how chronic absence can be turned around, even when it reaches high levels in a school, district or particular student population. http://bit.ly/2xztw5O

We have some pretty incredible accomplishments happening out there in our EWG community! Please take the time to share these with us, we would love to highlight special activities that are taking place around and about our community! We would love the chance to share some uplifting and positive highlights about Wawaloam students, simply send the information to me via email. We also LOVE to show pictures of interesting places where children are READING- please share.
